The Butler Evangelistic Association, Inc., (BYEA) sponsor of The Filling Station Youth Center, is a non-profit (501(c)3) organization that was established in August of 1995 and incorporated in October of 1995 to provide a place of fun, fellowship, activities and moral guidance to youth.
We believe that, according to the word of God in Ephesians 6:10-18, we are in a spiritual battle for the very lives and souls of our young people. We, the Dekalb Eastern area churches, have united with the Holy Spirit of God and are raising a standard against the powers of evil in order to see our children and youth be set free and be all that God has planned for them to be!
How We Are Staffed
We are entirely staffed by Christian volunteers who donate their time and talents to reach out and make a difference in these kids lives. If you feel called to volunteer, stop by the Youth Center and pick up an application. We are always in need of more Christians to step up and serve.
Why Do We Do It ?
With all the violence, killing, and gang activity of our youth today, we just want to reach out to them before it's to late. God has led us to encourage them in His name, and to let them know He has a special purpose for each and every one of them. We also want to give them a place for energy-burning recreational fun, fellowship, guidance, and especially a safe place to be loved.
"Filling Time"
Every time the doors are open, we have a "Filling Time" where the kids sit down and hear a brief Christian message. This could be the only time some of these kids hear the name of Jesus Christ and of His love for them. We feed their stomaches with food and we feed their souls with the word of God.
